SunRay Room Heaters
The simplest way to understand far-infrared is by the example of a bonfire. When outdoors, bonfires keep us warm in the cold using far-infrared. Bonfires don’t blow hot air onto you and its not the air that is keeping you warm but the energy in the form of infrared. SunRay panels are designed to replicate this natural warmth in your space.
Our SunRay panels use low-temperature electrical heating elements to heat the panel surface to around 80-95 degrees Celsius. This heat is then transmitted mainly by far-infrared, followed by natural convection. Far-Infrared heating is a more efficient way of heating a space as it does not depend on air as a transfer medium. Below is a explanation to help you understand more.
Most heaters are designed to heat a space by heating the air. The critical drawback is that rooms and spaces are not airtight, air escapes easily, through open doors, gaps in windows, etc. Because hot air rises to the top, heating air requires a more powerful device to achieve a suitable temperature.
SunRay uses far-Infrared and natural convection to heat up your space. Most of the energy consumed is used to heat objects and people directly in your room through longer wavelength infrared or far-infared. This heat is
directly transferred to the surroundings without any losses.
Far-Infrared is different from other infrared heaters(short-wave) that use glowing red hot elements. Far-infrared is a more natural and gentle warmth that has shown to have significant health benefits through various studies.
SunRay Panels evenly heat your space using far-infrared. This infrared heats objects directly in its path without having to heat the air. This heat is spread evenly throughout the room from top to bottom.
Conventional heaters work by heating air and circulating it by means of fans or fins that increase air contact. This air rises to the top of the room and gradually circulates inside the room. This causes heat to concentrate at the top of the room and the heating is uneven.
